4 .Mitchell Library, Glasgow

Mitchell Library is housed in a beautiful building near the Charing Cross. It is the largest reference library in Europe.  The library has a wonderful feel to it and a fantastic atmosphere. There is a great collection of books. The staff at the library is very friendly and will go out of its way to help you. Well decorated and well-furnished library provides plenty of comfortable seating to read through the books or find out about your family history in the archives.
