Formerly known as the Goulburn round house, Goulburn rail
heritage center is a very interesting place to visit. You will get to see rail
engines, carriages and wagons from as early as early 18th century. It is quite
an experience to see the old huge steam and diesel engines. The heritage center
is very big. You will see some rare stuff such as mail vans used in earlier
days. You can get guided tours. The tour guides are very informative and
knowledgeable. There is a small shop with some pretty cool rail memorabilia. It
is highly suggested to explore the yard before or after the tour. The center is
usually closed on Mondays and timings are 8 am to 3 pm for the rest of the week.
